Safari method

  1. Save or share the video to Files.
  2. Open MOV to MP4 in Safari.
  3. Upload from Files (this is still local processing).
  4. Download the MP4, then Share → Save Video.

Short clips work best on iPhone RAM. Long 4K is happier on a Mac.
